System Introduction The vibration attenuation test system which its development and design standard is EN15461:2008+A1:2010 "Railway Facilities, Noise Emission, Dynamic Functional characteristics of track components used for noise measurement when the train pass by". It is mainly composed of data acquisition instrument, accelerometer(vibration sensor), force hammer and software. Data Acquisition Instrument Vertical Data Horizontal Data Force hammer Accelerometer(Vibration sensor) Technology Principle 1. The accelerometers (one kind of vibration sensor) are fixed on the top and side of the rail. 2. A force hammer with sufficient stiffness is used to apply the force pulse to the rail from the transverse and vertical direction to ensure that the required excitation force and response value can be obtained in the appropriate frequency range. 3. The corresponding measurement values are collected by the accelerometer (at different distances from the force hammer point), and the attenuation rate values (transverse and vertical attenuation rates of rail) can be calculated by combining with the frequency response function.
