The SKC’s impedance tube material test system(Z series) is used to measure the sound absorption and insulation coefficient of sound absorption material under vertical incident condition. The whole system consists of impedance tube, high-precision microphone (phase matching), data acquisition instrument, testing software and cables.
The design standard of the SKC’s impedance tube material test system refers to the domestic standard GB/T18696.2-2002 "Measurement of sound absorption coefficient and acoustic impedance in impedance tube -- Part 2: Transfer function Method" and the international standard ISO10534-2:1998.
In the material test system of impedance tube, the impedance tube(hardware) is made of high strength hard aluminum alloy, which can ensure the stability of tube diameter and cavity to the maximum extent. Testing software, according to the measured peak sound level value and valley sound level value, automatically calculate the sound absorption coefficient, and can generate the sound absorption coefficient and frequency coordinate curve. The data acquisition instrument can freely set the frequency and amplitude of its output signal within a specified range by the user.
This testing system is widely used in testing the sound absorption coefficient of various materials (such as building sound absorption materials, automotive interior materials, industrial sound absorption materials, etc.). Compared with the standing wave ratio method of standing wave tube, this test system has the advantages of short test time, continuous spectrum and good repeatability. Especially for material research, it can greatly improve the efficiency of comparative experiment.
